Author Talk with Joseph Bauer In-Person: Come meet Charleston writer Joseph Bauer and discuss his new novel Sailing for Grace, the story of Wilton and Grace Goodbow following Grace's terminal diagnosis. Despite opposing political beliefs, their passion for sailing bonded them for life. Grace's last wish is for Wilton to set aside his politics to take on her last cause: reuniting immigrant parents separated from their children at the El Paso border. Bauer weaves a heartfelt story about love, politics, and promises. This discussion will touch on personal relationships, politics and systemic injustices. We will also talk about Bauer's writing process and his movtivation behind writing this novel.
